How to Get the Most From Michael's Programs

Michael takes his responsibility of providing the very highest level of speaking experience to your group very seriously. To help make sure you receive the maximum results for your investment, please read the following and print this page for future reference.

Audio / Visual Requirements

Michael's programs often incorporate sophisticated multi-media therefore special attention needs to be given to the A/V requirements as follows:

  • Michael prefers to use a thin profile earset microphone to maximize the sound fidelity of his voice, reduce feedback and cutout typical of many lavaliere mics. If this is not available let his staff know and he will bring his own (including transmitter and receiver).
  • Please also have a cordless, handheld microphone for when Michael interacts with his audience.
  • Some of Michael's programs require a live high-speed Internet connection. Make sure this is available if requested.
  • Michael will always bring his own laptop. For smaller groups (< 500) he may opt to also bring his own projector and sound mixer as well.
  • Allow at least one hour prior to the session for Michael to set up and test his equipment.

Room Set Up Specifications and Requirements

Michael's has performed for years in front of audiences of all sizes. As a result he has developed a room set up methodology that works to provide the maximum audience experience and enjoyment of his programs. If you have not yet done so, click here to download and print out Michael's A/V & Room Set Up Specification Guide. Here are some other room set up suggestions:

  • Avoid over estimating the expected number of attendees. It is much better to bring in additional chairs because there was not enough than have the audience scattered over a room that was set up for a much larger crowd.
  • For any size audience, have them close to the speaker.
  • If any of the room access doors close loudly, please have a door stop so that they will not be a distraction.
  • Please make sure Michael has plenty of water at his speaker's table.
  • Make sure the entire room is well lit while avoiding strong ambient or direct light on any of the projection screens. NOTE: sometimes it may be necessary for the facilities staff to unscrew or remove lights directly above a projection screen.
  • If the room is rectangular, then the preferable orientation is to have the front of the room where Michael speaks on one of the long sides as follows (this provides a much more intimate audience experience):

Logistics and Miscellaneous Suggestions

Here are some final suggestions to help make your event the best possible:

  • Be sure to have Michael's introducer carefully practice reading his introduction the way it is written.
  • If your event includes giving awards and/or extended announcements consider giving the audience a stretch break for a couple of minutes before introducing Michael.
  • If photos are to be taken please avoid doing it during the first 15 minutes of the presentation as it is a distraction to the speaker and the audience, especially during the opening phase of Michael's speech.

We hope you found the above suggestions helpful. It is Michael's and his staff's goal to make certain your attendees feel they have just received the most powerful and memorable event ever when he steps down from the platform.

Thank You!
